Police arrest man after early morning standoff

A 4-hour standoff between a Stratford man and police officers concluded on Monday morning with the man’s arrest.

Daniel Nagy, 37, was charged with disorderly conduct following his arrest early Monday morning. Police officers were called to a home at 108 Hurd Ave. at about 2 a.m. Police said Nagy barricaded himself inside his home and threatened to shoot himself. The Stratford Police Special Response Team and negotiators responded and were able to resolve the incident at about 6 a.m.

Police said Nagy was taken to a local hospital for observation.
