Perry House holds NOLAfest fundraiser to help Louisiana flood victims

The Perry House invites the community to their New Orleans themed event, NOLAfest to benefit the flood victims of Southeast Louisiana on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 6-10 p.m., at the Historic Perry House, 1128 West Broad Street.

NOLAfest will feature foods like jambalaya, po’boys, and beignets, provided by Queen Zuri’s of Milford, and drinks like hurricanes and Abita beer, and the music of Funky Dawgz Brass Band.

At the event, Perry House will be taking donations for the Associated Professional Educators of Louisiana. These donations will help teachers and students impacted by the flooding in Southeast Louisiana. All donations will go to buy school supplies for classrooms throughout the Greater Baton Rouge, Louisiana area.

Built in 1690, the Perry House is one of the oldest houses in Stratford. Today, the Perry House serves as an important symbol of Stratford’s colonial heritage, by educating children and adults, welcoming visitors, and participating in the life of the community.
