Police seize heroin and money in bust

Heroin, crack and cash was seized in a drug bust in Milford on Wednesday, Feb. 6.

Members of the Milford and Stratford police departments’ narcotics units arrested two people in Milford on Wednesday, Feb. 6, on drug charges after executing a search warrant for a Boston Post Road address.

A joint investigation into alleged narcotics sales in both towns resulted in the arrest of Joe Gantt, 34, of Bridgeport and Jennifer Greenberg, 22, of Stratford. Both were taken into police custody.

Police say the search warrant resulted in the seizure of 380 bindles of heroin, 8.7 grams of crack cocaine, a scale and assorted packaging materials. In addition, investigators seized money they found at the location.

Both were charged with possession of narcotics, conspiracy to possess narcotics, possession of narcotics with Intent to sell, conspiracy to possess narcotics with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and conspiracy to possess drug paraphernalia.

Greenberg was additionally charged two counts of sale of narcotics.

Gantt was held on a $300,000 bond and Greenberg on a $100,000 bond. Both were arraigned in court on February 7.
