Volunteers sought for Russian Beach dune project this Saturday

Members of the Lordship Improvement Association (LIA) are working with the Town of Stratford on a project to use discarded Christmas trees as snow fences to help build up the sand dunes at Russian Beach. Work will begin this Saturday, Jan. 12 at 10 a.m.

The LIA anticipates needing many volunteers and also ask that anyone with experience in this type of a project should contact them.

Volunteers are asked to dress warmly, bring work gloves and meet at the bluff in front of Laurel Street. The Town of Stratford will provide the Christmas trees.
