George Irving Culver

George Irving Culver, 76, lost his battle with Alzheimer’s on December 29, 2012.

Born on November 6, 1936 he was the son of the late Irving Bedell Culver and Genevieve Crofut Culver. George was born and raised in Stratford, Connecticut until moving to Lawrenceville, Georgia after retirement.

He was married to the late Glacia Geary Culver on December 30, 1955.

George leaves behind four daughters, Paula Culver Andel and her husband David of Lawrenceville, GA., Lisa Ballouk and her husband Sam of Suwanee, Ga., Susan Chantlos and her husband Dan of Stratford, CT. and Glacia Swiercezk and her husband Brian of Lawrenceville, GA. A proud grandfather, George had 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

George’s working career began at The French Baking Company in Stratford. He attended Housatonic Community College and was employed by Avco/Lycoming/Textron as Supervisor of Timekeeping and Labor Distribution/Manager of Accounting until his retirement in 1991.

George, a faithful Christian attended Our Lady of Grace Church in Stratford, CT. and St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceville, Ga. He was loved by all who knew him and his strong moral foundation and teachings will be passed on for generations to come.

You are loved George Culver and will be forever in our hearts.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 9:15AM in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Of Grace Church Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Union Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 PM.
