Stratford schools remain on normal schedule after Newtown shootings

There was a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown Friday, Dec. 14. While some school districts closer to Newtown, and including Newtown, are on lockdown, Stratford Schools are operating under a normal schedule.

Reports from people at scene indicate that an adult at the school has been killed. A teacher was shot in the foot and some children suffered minor injuries.

Schools in Newtown and Bethel remain in lockdown.

The Internet is being flooded with contradictory information regarding the number of casualties and status of the situation.

Reports on the number of shooters range from one, who was reportedly killed, to two, to three and several other rumors.
