Bishop Lori distributes ashes at St. Mark school
St. Mark Church in Stratford welcomed Bishop William E. Lori on Ash Wednesday as he celebrated Mass and distributed ashes to the school and parish community.
It is a Roman Catholic tradition for religious leaders to visit local churches during the holy season of Lent. These “Station Churches” are appointed by the diocese for special morning and evening services during religious holidays.
St. Mark Church was the bishop’s first Station Church this Lenten season.
