Theresa Dogali Dumas

Theresa Dogali Dumas, 90, of Stratford, wife of the late Walter L. Dumas, died Feb. 6, at Bridgeport Hospital.


Born in Stratford, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Perrilli Dogali.

Her strength and compassion for others were an inspiration to all who loved her, her family said.

Survivors include two daughters, Judith Swarbrick and Josephine Mandeville and her husband, Normand, all of Stratford; two brothers, Nicholas Dogali of Seymour and Patsy Dogali of Stratford; a sister, Mary Vertucci of Florida; three grandchildren, Jason Swarbrick and Debbie Bisch of Stratford and Kim Hoydilla of Milford; three great-granddaughters, Ashley, Danielle and Lauren; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband Walter, she was predeceased by her grandson, Frank D. Swarbrick, three brothers, Tony, Frank and James Dogali and two sisters, Concetta Dogali and Anna Costello.

Services are Friday, Feb. 10, 9 a.m., Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Ave., Stratford. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Visiting hours, Thursday, 4-8 p.m.
