John A. Fignar Sr.
John A. Fignar Sr., 53, of Stratford, died Feb. 4, in Bridgeport Hospital.
Son of the late Edward J. Fignar Sr., and Rose Mihocko Fignar, he was born in Bridgeport and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Fignar was a lead man at Sikorsky Aircraft. He was an avid pool shooter, a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and also a member of the Polish-American Club.
Survivors include his children, John A. Fignar Jr. of Stratford, Robin Fignar, Dawn Hoydilla and her husband, Matthew, and Kimberly Morrell and her husband, Matthew, all of Newington; the mother of his children, Teresa Nyari Aparo; a brother, Edward Fignar Jr. of Meriden; two sisters, Rose Anne Chiulli and her husband, Roy, and Susan McCallion and her husband, Tom, all of Stratford; nine grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services are Friday, Feb. 10, 10:30 a.m., Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Milford. Visiting hours, Thursday, 4-7 p.m.
