Norma M. Marranzino Marino
Norma M. Marranzino Marino, 78, of Huntington, wife of Frank R. Marino Jr. for 55 years, died Jan. 27, at home, surrounded by her family.
Daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Pizzuto Marranzino, she was born Oct. 29, 1933 in Bridgeport.
Early in her career, Mrs. Marino was employed by Avco Lycoming of Stratford and later worked as a realtor. She was the owner of La Parisienne, a dress shop in Stratford. She also worked as a legal secretary for Cotter, Cotter, & Sohon and most recently was employed by Rodie and Connolly of Stratford.
Norma was a superb Italian cook who took great pride in hosting many gatherings, her family said. She enjoyed taking trips to New York City and drives to the seawall in Lordship, but her most precious moments were those spent with her grandchildren. Her kind and generous spirit will always remain in our hearts.
Besides her husband, survivors include four children, Frank R. Marino, III and his wife, Laura of Shelton, Mark Marino and his wife, Joy of West Cornwall, Lisa Beetham and her husband, John of Oxford and JodiAnn Forte and her husband, Roger of Easton; eight grandchildren, Dan and Sam Marino, Sophia and Christina Marino, Gianna, Jake and Cameron Forte, and Jack Beetham;
Also, brothers, Alex Marranzino and his wife, Delores, Daniel Marranzino and his wife, Theresa, all of Stratford; a sister, Lucille Patane and her companion, Tony Errico of Stratford; a brother-in-law, Michael Giannino of Stratford; cousins, Florence Natale of Trumbull, Mary Roberto of Trumbull, and Rose DeGerolamo of Bridgeport; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Phyllis Giannino; and her brother-in-law, Ronald Patane.
Services are Tuesday, Jan. 31, 10 a.m., St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Visiting hours, Monday, 4-8 p.m., Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
