Low vision workshop — May 22 at Fairfield Senior Center

A workshop about the latest services and assistive technology available for people who are legally blind or severely visually impaired will be offered Tuesday, May 22, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Fairfield Senior Center, 100 Mona Terrace, Fairfield.

From 11 to 11:30 a.m., Dr. Kim Stevens of Bridgeport will discuss age-related eye conditions, new medical eye treatments, legal blindness and other low vision issues.

From 11:30 to noon, Board of Education & Services for the Blind (BESB) will discuss eligibility for its services and what services are provided.

A Road Map to Aging — Thursday, May 17

Keynote speaker Dr. Bernie Siegel will address legal issues, housing options and care for seniors Thursday, May 17, 6:30-9 p.m., Jewish Community Center, 4200 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Patriotic tunes — Friday, May 25

The Baldwin Players present their annual Memorial Day program, a Patriotic Salute show Friday, May 25, 12:30. Light refreshments served after performance.
   

Ballroom dancing — Mondays, 10 a.m.

Dance instructor Jerry Chylkowski will teach ballroom line dancing Mondays, at 10 a.m., at the Baldwin Center's Main Hall. Class fee is $2 per one hour class. Open to everyone. Sign up in advance at the Baldwin Center front desk.
   

Zumba Gold class

Six-week zumba gold class for seniors began Tuesday, May 1, 9:15 a.m., Sterling House. Fee is $25. Led by Suzanne Palazzi, licensed zumba & zumbatomic instructor.
