Register for playground camp trips

Registration for camp trips continues until June 15 or until all trips are full. Some of the trips entail traveling to Club Getaway, Brownstone Discovery Park, Laser Planet, CoCo Key Resort, and local attractions such as Flood Pool, Short Beach, and Regal Cinemas. Registration is at the Stratford Recreation Department or online at townofstratford.com/recreation.
   

Flood Pool closed through mid-May

The pool will be closed for renovations through mid-May.
   

Short Beach stickers

Beach sticker attendants will be on duty checking resident stickers on weekends during May from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Recreation office will be open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
   

Launching ramp permits

The Recreation Department office is open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Launching ramp permits will be available for purchase. A boat and trailer registration must be shown. Resident fee is $25; non-resident is $125.
   

No dogs allowed on beaches

The Town of Stratford reminds residents and visitors that dogs are no longer allowed on Stratford beaches as of April 16. The Town Ordinance allows dogs on beaches during the off-season only (designated as December-March). Owners found not complying will be fined.
