The Square One Theatre Company will hold open auditions for its gala 25th Anniversary 2014-15 season on Thursday, Sept. 4, from 6-8 p.m., at the Stratford Library, 2203 Main Street. The theatre will begin its 25th anniversary season in November with Lee Blessing’s modern classic, A Walk in the Woods. Housatonic Fly Fishermen’s Association hosts a meeting Thursday, Sept. 4, 7 p.m., St Paul’s Episcopal Church, 65 North Main Street, Wallingford. Speaker Mike Humphreys, fisheries biologist from CT DEEP will discuss the overall condition of the Housatonic river as well as results of the fish tagging of trout and the 2013 annual Housatonic River trout creel survey. Car show to benefit Corsair rebuild

The Corsair Restoration Benefit Car Show will be Sunday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at 595 Main St., across from the former Army Engine Plant.
