Stratfords reunion friends, volunteers to meet

With the Reunion of the Stratfords of the World 2014 still visible in the town’s rear view mirror, a gathering of those involved in the six day celebration has been planned for Saturday, Oct. 25, from 3:15-4:45 p.m., in the Lovell Room of the Stratford Library, 2203 Main St. Host families, Stratfords of the World steering committee, and Sister Cities Chorus members will meet to renew friendships made this summer and view a slide show of the reunion held from…

Stratford vets host library children

The Stratford Library Children’s Department and the Raymond T. Goldbach VFW Post #9460 will host a special tour of the Veterans’ Memorial site on Stratford’s Academy Hill Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 3 pm. Children ages 6-12 and their families are invited to meet at the library to walk to Academy Hill and view the Veterans Memorial site with VFW Commander Bob Johnson. Visit will end with a paper bag picnic on Academy Hill. To register, call 203-385-4165.
