AARP Stratford Chapter #5284 is holding its annual Halloween Dinner Dance Wednesday, Oct. 22, 4:30-7:30, Baldwin Center. Vazzy’s will cater a buffet dinner and Vinnie Carr will provide music for ballrooom and line dancing. Costumes are optional. Tickets, at $18 or two for $35, are available from an AARP member at the Baldwin Center Tuesday-Friday, 10-1, or by calling Helen at 203-375-1921. Event is open to the community.

Friends of Square One Theatre Company will meet Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m., in the Board Room. Open meeting for Stratford’s resident theatre company as they begin their 25th anniversary season. Plans for the celebration to be discussed and a scene from the theatre’s first play of the season, A Walk in the Woods, will be presented. Light refreshments. Free and open to the public.
