The Stratford Star is the only media outlet serving the Stratford, Connecticut community with a weekly newspaper, a comprehensive website and social media connections including Facebook, Twitter and Google+.
We focus strictly on Stratford and keep an eye on those running the town and spending the taxpayers’ money. We analyze issues and provide late-breaking news.
Our regular departments are police arrests, sports, senior activities, schools, entertainment, obituaries, business, religion, recreation, health, and social and community events.
The Star also has a lively opinion section where community members write Letters to the Editor and comment on our website articles. There are opportunities for longer Op-Ed columns, and, of course, we state our own editorial opinions about all things Stratford.
The Star binds the community together and is proud to do so.
The Star is part of HAN Network, a community news and multimedia firm, which includes local papers, daily websites, specialty publications, and events in more than 20 communities in southwestern Connecticut, Lewisboro, N.Y., and Vermont. This gives our readers easy access to regional news and events as well as exposure to advertisers from across the region. The firm also owns Trumbull Printing in Trumbull, CT.
The Stratford Star newsroom is at 1000 Bridgeport Avenue, Shelton, CT 06484. It can be reached at 203-926-2080.
