Rev. Jeffrey B. Lukens

Lordship Community Church announced the appointment of the Rev. Jeffrey B. Lukens as pastor.

Rev. Lukens led his first worship service at Lordship Community Church on Sunday, June 16, and all are invited to greet Lukens and attend worship at Lordship Community Church at its Sunday service — 10 a.m. on June 23 and June 30, or 9:30 a.m. from July 7 through Sept. 1.

Lukens is a Connecticut native and lifelong member of the United Church of Christ. He holds a B.S. in Business Management from Northwest Missouri State University and a M.Div. from Andover Newton Theological School.

Lukens has served as the youth minister at the United Church of Christ in Southbury and as a resident chaplain at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Most recently, he served as associate pastor at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

Lukens and his wife, Megan, have one daughter, Charlotte, who is 17 months old. They are excited about coming “home” to Connecticut and living in Lordship.

Lordship Community Church is at 179 Prospect Drive in Stratford.
