Vereen scores 28 points to lead Stratford to victory

The Stratford High basketball team outscored Oxford High 42-13 over the middle two periods and went on to win a 69-38 decision on Tuesday night.
The Red Devils are 11-7 on the season. They will play Newtown High (8-11) in their regular-season finale at Bunnell High tonight at 7.
Marcus Vereen scored 28 points and Bernard Brantley and Eric Rankin split 14 markers.
Evan Velleca and Emmauel Young scored five points each.
Brantley had six assists and four rebounds.
