James F. O’Gallagher, age 84, of Trumbull, passed away February 1, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late James and Aurelia O’Gallagher.
He was the beloved husband of the late Margie Crowley O’Gallagher.
Devoted to his family, friends, and Church, Jim was a witty and affectionate man who loved to whistle and tell stories.
He was a proud army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a graduate of Xavier University. Before his retirement, he was the proprietor of MAACO Auto Body in Stratford.
He was a member of the Fayerweather Yacht Club, the Lions Club, and the Knights of Columbus.
Jim was the much loved father of Lee Ann (Bill) Popoli of Hamden; Susan (Paul) Mohyde of Stratford; Ellen (Ray) Watt of Jackson, Tennessee; and Bridget (Mike) Newton of Madison. Jim was the proud grandfather of James, Emily, and Mary Mohyde; Daniel and Sarah Popoli; Abbey, Jesse, and Gracie Watt; Luke, Rhett, and Beau Newton; and Larissa Watt, Rachael (Justin) Morley, and Jonathan (Michelle Martens) Popoli. Great grandfather to Nadia, Nathaniel, Patrick, and Ava. Beloved Uncle to several nieces and nephews.
Jim was predeceased by his daughter Beth Dixon and his sister Rilla Ross.

Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral services on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. directly at Christ The King Church 4700 Madison Ave. Trumbull. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may greet the family on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull.
