CT Audubon Society bird photo contest underway

The Connecticut Audubon Society will hold a photo contest during March Membership Month, #CTBird Photo Contest.

The winner will receive two tickets to one of their EcoTravel Swallow Spectacular Cruises on the Connecticut River in late summer.

The rules are simple:

  • Take a photo of a bird in Connecticut
  • Post it to The Connecticut Audubon Society Facebook page with the #CTBird hashtag (you have to “like” the page and you must use the hashtag for us to know which photos are being entered; photos will appear in the Visitor Posts)
  • Or post it to Instagram or Twitter using #CTBird (you must use the hashtag for us to be able to find the photos)

A winner will be chosen in early April.

“I have seen a million flamingos on the lakes of East Africa and as many seabirds on the cliffs of the Alaska Pribilofs, but for sheer drama, the tornadoes of Tree Swallows eclipsed any other avian spectacle I have ever seen” — Roger Tory Peterson, writing about the Connecticut River
