Reader honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

To the Editor:

From pulpit, public forum, or to the Press, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. talked the talk. Along garbage routes and along hallowed grounds, “THE MAN walked the walk.”

He had a DREAM and ARTICULATED the same for simple human equality.

Justice delayed was denied, is it unreasonable for LAW, to be based on morality?

While the TRUTH kept marching on, His eyes had seen the glory of the Lord.

The Spirit moved him to light paths. Others would benefit from God’s deeds and word.

Dr. King could quote from biblical books, quoting chapter, and verse.

He could quote philosophers, prophets, patriotic revolutionaries, and profiteers, most terse.

Like MOSES, Dr. KING had seen the PROMISED LAND from “the MOUNTAIN TOP.”

Even knowing he was about to DIE, is NO CAUSE for others to STOP.

He wept like Christ @ Gethsemane, each knowing they were to soon DIE.

Their words and acts practiced the RULES with TRUTH and not by LIE.

Listen to and watch the audio video and read the words of the Mountaintop speech. His first anniversary of being “against War,” a better life for all, was what he did preach!

Tears were in his eyes! His voice was halting and cracking with strain. Knowing his death was imminent, we admire Dr. King’s courage and pain.

Dr. King articulated paths for improvements for peoples’ secular lives’ assets and material. Respecting church and state separation, his life’s transcendent acts were spiritually inspirational.
