Bunnell places third

The Bunnell High girls basketball took third place in the Shelton Christmas Tournament with a 60-40 victory over Branford High on Thursday.
Jess Bogdwicz knocked down four 3-pointers for the Lady Bulldogs and finished with 18 points.
Lauryn Kostopoulos had 13 points for the Lady Bulldogs, who led after each period break.
Shannon Hofmiller scored eight points and Erin Koletar seven.
Bunnell was edged out 45-42 in the first round by eventual champion Shelton High.
Bogdwicz scored 20 points and Kostopoulos had eight.
