House tour features Stratford history

Victoria Delgado demonstrates how colonists manufactured their own fabrics.

The Stratford Historical Society is hosted a holiday open house at the Captain David Judson House this past weekend. The open house featured decked halls, a house tour and many smiling faces.

At the adjacent Catharine Bunnell Mitchell Museum gift shop there was a museum exhibit, holiday music by Hearthside Waits and a Valley Forge reenactor. Cookies and cider are were served.

The museum contains an extensive genealogy library available to the public and is located in the office area. The Library is available to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. year round.

Genealogical requests may be made by telephone, e-mail, mail and in person.
