Linda Coover, 49, of Riverview Place, Stratford, was charged with sixth degree larceny on Nov. 6 after she attempted to leave the ShopRite grocery store without paying for meat and beer according to police.
Coover was stopped by the store’s Loss Prevention Agent as she attempted to leave the store. He reported observing her try to leave with a 12 pack of domestic beer and two packs of meat.
The total bill for the items in question came to $23.31.
Coover was issued a misdemeanor summons and released on a promise to appear. She is expected in court on Nov. 20
